NY Prosecutor launches campaign for Senate
US Prosecutor Jean Pirro, Republican, opened her bid for US Senate and will battle with Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton in 2006. Pirro believes that Mrs. Clinton will run for presidential office in 2008, and that she wants to use the state of New York as a “doormat to the White House.” She went on to say “You can’t run for two offices at once.”
Polls suggest that although Clinton is a popular senator, most New Yorkers don’t want to see her in the White House.
