Assassination Attempt in Russia
Ibragim Malsagov, local Prime Minister in the mostly Muslim southern Russian region of Ingushetia, was wounded in an assassination attempt when two explosions hit the region’s main city, Nazran.
The Ingush Prime Minister was wounded in the thigh but is in satisfactory condition after being taken to a hospital in Nazran. Malsagov’s driver and one of his bodyguards were taken to the hospital, where the driver died. Passers-by were also wounded.
