2 Billion Mobile Phone Users
Recently it was confirmed by a large scale study that cellphones do not cause cancer, at least in the first ten years of use. That is good news because now nearly one third of the world’s population uses one.
The number of mobile phone subscribers in the world has surpassed the 2 billion milestone GSM Association and consulting firm Ovum, said on Sunday.
“The bulk of the new growth now is coming from large, less well-developed markets such as China, India, Eastern Europe, Latin America and Africa,” Wireless Intelligence said in a statement.
