We now have the 21st named storm of this hurricane season: Wilma. And she looks to be headed into the lower Gulf of Mexico as a hurricane possibly as early as Saturday.
Of course, this is about the last thing Louisiana needs. If she does make landfall on the Gulf Coast, it’ll probably be sometime mid to late next week.
Incidently, since the hurricane center has used up its list of storm names for this season, they begin giving each tropical storm after this a Greek designation (i.e., Alpha and Beta).
